Horror Month Mini Reviews 3

Detention
Score 5/5

A group of teens representative of teen movie lead archetype are thrown into a blender and put on display. This is, by far, one of the best movies i’ve seen lately. it’s irrelevant to the point of almost being nonsensical, but when it ended i found it to be truly specal. It was released around the same time “Cabin in the Woods” was, so it was unfarly over shadowed, but this is just as much worthy of your time.

John Dies At The End
Score:4.5/5

The story of a group of supernatural investigators who gain superhuman abilities from a drug called “soy sauce”. Again, this is just a really great movie. Funny, gory and a hell of a lot of fun.

Odd Thomas
Score: 4.5/5

Odd Thomas can see the dead, and must uses his powers to stop his home town from undergoing the worst massacre in its history. I haven’t heard many good things about Dean Koontz. From what i was told neither his books nor the movies based off them are worth your time. But, i found this really enjoyable. So much so that i may have to start looking in to the rest of the books as well.

And with that, Horror Month comes to a close. So, good night, have fun and stay safe.
