Due to the time sesative nature of this i’m not going to add much and just let the Nostalgia Critic’s video do the talking, but if you’re in the US, you should send an email or call the number provided.
In an Interview with Mashable.com telltale CEO Kevin Bruner revealed that The Walking Dead Season three will be arriving latter this year. Bruner told the site that Season 3 will “take an ‘unexpected’ approach” and to “to bring in a wider swath of fans”. This could mean that this new season will follow a new protagonist, and if that is what Telltale is aiming for then i’m terrified for the fate of Clementine, but oh so eager to find out.
More information will be released this summer, with the season premier to follow some time after that. Until then, check out my reviews for Season One and Season Two.
Back in February the website GameTrailers was shut down after 13 years in business. With such a talented team it was hard to think they would just disappear, but i assumed they would be scooped up by larger sites looking for talented writers. Well, today we learn that i was wrong about that, as the team behind GameTrailers have started a project, Easy Allies, and they’re asking for your support.
If you enjoyed the content GameTrailers had been producing and want to see more of it, consider throwing them a few dollars on their Patreon page.
If you’re like me and can afford too, may consider following them on twitter or subscribing to their youtube or follow them on twitch.
Back in 2014, when Nintendo showed off the first trailer for “Zelda Wii U” the one thing that everyone was asking was “is this link a girl?” Which made sense given the slightly more feminine look of the character. While i do believe (though this isn’t certain at the time) that the heads of Nintendo did say the character in the video was Male, the have now given us an offical Female Link, named Linkle, who will be a playable character in Hyrule Warriors. Now the big question is, will the next main Zelda game have a female link, or even allow players to chose links gender, or will we be stuck playing the default male link again? I’m really interested to see where this goes, but it’s too soon to tell as of yet.
I’m not sure what to think about this. On one hand i want to ask what it means that Nintendo is contently having to outsource DLC characters in a franchise that was meant to be a show case for their franchise mascots and on the other i want to jump up and down screaming at the top of my lungs “Cloud’s in Smash Bros, Cloud’s in Smash Bros, i’m going to kick Mario’s ass with Could Strife”. So lets get the good out of the way.
As a character Cloud looks fantastic. It looks like he’s going to be really fun to play and seeing Summons and Omnislash in 3D is just freaking cool. While the Smash Bros website doesn’t have a price listed at the time of writing, looking at other DLC tells us it’s cost around $4-6, and personally I’d be willing to play that.
But here’s what’s bothering me. Smash Bros was meant to be a place for Nintendo characters. While some out side characters made sense to add (like sonic due to the long running rivalry between Nintendo and Sega) a lot of the other don’t; Solid Snake, Pac-Man, MegaMan, Ryu, and now Cloud. I’m starting to feel worried not only that Nintendo is running out of idea’s for Smash Bros, but in general. While we’ve all had our fun making jokes about Nintendo making the same games repeatedly, it does kind of bother me that they’ve had to go this far into keep their games relevant. I mean, Splatoon was the first new IP Nintendo’s developed in about as long as i remember. I’m not saying i mind them adding outside characters, i just wish it didn’t feel like they had to in order to stay relevant.
Bethesda has released a list with all the Fallout 4’s Trophies, giving players a small taste of what the game has in store while some of these are the typical “reach a certain level” or “complete this story mission”, there are more than a few interesting items on the list. Check it out and start thinking about which you want to get first, because chances are competing this list will take quite a while.

Shovel Knight was one of the best games to come out last year. I loved everything about the game (you can read my review here)and i’ve been eagerly waiting this bit of DLC since hearing about it. And this is coming from a guy who doesn’t buy DLC most of the time. It may help that this is FREE as stated on the Press Kit page of the developers website. Needless to say i’m going to be playing this one as soon as i can.
It would seem like Horror Director Wes Craven (know for the “Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Scream” franchises) has passed away at age 76. It is thought that this was due too brain cancer, but i can only find one source for this at present. My condolences go to his family and fans.
In a recent tweet Bethesda has announced that Fallout 4 will not end when the story is over (a huge issue i had with both Fallout 3 and New Vegas) and the game will also have no set level cap. Meaning you can play and level for as long as you’d like. This is…interesting news. While i’m glad to hear that you can play on after the story, how will they handle making combat interesting with no level cap? Will the enemies just scale up along side you or will it be possible to overpower everything that comes your way? And what about perks? In Fallout 3 and New Vegas, hitting the level cap meant you couldn’t gain any more perks, adding a layer of strategy to your choices. So will this lead to being able to gain every perk in the game, or will these be cut off in some way? We’ll soon have answers to these questions when Fallout 4 hits shelves this November.
